Sensors
The extensive Datasensor range of photoelectric products includes 'universal sensors' which are able to satisfy the most varied of application requirements. This range benefits from both transistorised and relay outputs. Compact, miniature and tubular sensors offer the basic through beam, polarised retro-reflex, polarised retro-reflex for transparents, diffused, fixed focus and background or foreground suppression models.

All of the main optic functions are also available in sensors with class 1 laser emission, which is ideal for high-resolution detection applications. A complete range of accessories, cable, connectors, reflectors, fibre-optics and brackets complement the range.

To solve more specialist requirements, Datasensor manufactures a range of sensors with advanced optics in industry standard housings. For example, some of the most advanced contrast, fibre optic and true colour sensors with white emission, luminescence sensors with ultraviolet solid-state emission and intelligent fork sensors with red / green emission. These units use the patented 'Easytouch' automatic touch to teach system for setting with lockout facility.

Safety Light Curtains
With the necessity to guarantee operator protection in the industrial work place, reinforced by health and safety regulations Datasensor has introduced its own range of optical Type 2 and Type 4 safety devices for finger, hand and body protection.

With the 'Safeasy' safety light curtain range, the muting, partial muting and automatic or manual reset options are all fully integrated into the unit. Specific dipswitches, accessed through a lockable hinged cover on the front of the receiver, guarantee rapid and safe device set-up. Combined with its compact dimensions (30mm x 40mm) and its extensive range of accessories, the 'Safeasy' range really does help make specifying and installing safety light curtains easier than ever before.

Area Scanners
With the introduction of the DS and S80L Datasensor can now supply a range of sensor solutions that can measure as well as detect. The DS1 and DS are multi-beam light grids that are accurate enough to detect objects down to 0.5mm (even transparent) whilst being powerful enough to see though printed film or bags.

The S80L is a long-range (4000mm) background suppression sensor and analogue measurement sensor all in one. The sensor uses a patented laser time of flight system and will resolve down to 0.9mm anywhere in its range.
